1. Onboarding
You’ll talk with your Project Manager, and perform a diagnostic test to help define your coding skill level. This is also the time when you’ll determine your best availability for your coaching hours.
2. Matching
Once your coding game plan and goals are set, you’ll be matched with the perfect coding coach for you. Your unique coach will be giving you one-on-one direction through every step of your rockstar coding journey.
3. Start Coding
Get ready to kick off your weekly coaching sessions, complete homework assignments and projects, and practice. You’ll also have the ability to get paired with other students taking your same course, so you can problem solve together. As you learn, your coding coach will be there to troubleshoot, review your code, and give you continuous feedback during your path to dev stardom.
4. Check in with your Career Coach
Every 2 weeks you will have a checkpoint with your Career Coach to set professional development goals and chart out a plan of action to get you there. Your personal Career Coach will review your CV and social media presence, set up mock interviews for you and support you through your career transformation.
5. Join our Alumni Network where you can get continued support from your coaches and peers
As an alumni you will get extended career coaching, exclusive information on hot job leads, invitations to all of our events and access to our growing network of alumni and coaches.
Intro to Web Development
starting June 6th
This is an entry-level course designed for people who want to build beautiful, interactive websites. Using HTML, CSS, and jQuery, you will learn to build, style, and animate web pages, as well as learn to make them mobile responsive – so they will look clean and professional both on a computer and on your phone or tablet. For your final project, you will design, build, and deploy a fully-functioning website. Check out our Facebook page for examples of past students’ final projects!
Learning Objectives
- Learn to build and style beautiful websites using HTML and CSS
- Optimize your websites for different viewports including mobile, by learning the fundamentals of responsive design using the Bootstrap grid
- Animate websites and implement an interactive design using Javascript fundamentals and jQuery
- Deploy your website to the internet using Heroku
